§ Oversaw concept-to-completion design and illustration for four monthly, two bimonthly and two biweekly scientific journals including Analytical Chemistry, JACS, Molecular Pharmaceutics, Environmental Science & Technology, Chemical Biology, Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation, creating design concepts, cover illustrations and feature layouts for print and online editions.
§ Designed over 20 ancillary projects per year for meetings and conferences including brochures, posters, newsletters, calendars, logos and special-focus publications, for both print and online editions, all on tight, concurrent timelines.
§ Created strategies to successfully streamline production processes and cut costs by developing expertise in new, cutting edge software, bringing a significant portion of outside vendor business in-house, producing a significant cost savings while improving quality and cutting production time.
§ Directed the implementation the 2008 ACS brand design for all journals, defining design parameters and redesigning templates to achieve consistency across 35+ print and online materials.
